Important: Measles Alert
Following a recent outbreak of measles in London, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.
Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).
Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.
If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Updates - welcome to new GP partner and introducing new technology
Dear Patients,
We are pleased to announce a series of enhancements at Bethnal Green Health Centre, all designed to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of your care:
1. A Warm Welcome to Dr Sabir Zaman
We are delighted that Dr Sabir Zaman, an experienced GP partner with a strong commitment to patient-centred care, will be joining our team. His clinical expertise and compassionate approach will further strengthen our practice.
2. Introducing Heidi Health for Clinical Documentation
In the coming weeks, we will begin using Heidi Health—an advanced digital system that streamlines the creation and management of your clinical notes. By automating routine tasks, Heidi Health helps us to:
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of your records
• Free up more time for face-to-face (or virtual) discussion
• Improve continuity of care across our team
3. Launching QuantumLoop AI Virtual Reception
To reduce your time on hold and make appointment requests smoother, we are implementing QuantumLoop AI, our new virtual reception service. This technology will handle call-booking and general enquiries, so you can spend less time waiting and more time focusing on your health.
Recording of Consultations
To further enhance clinical safety and quality assurance, both face-to-face and virtual consultations will be recorded (audio only) and securely stored as part of your medical record. This is consistent with our existing practice for telephone consultations. Recording:
• Improves accuracy: ensures that all relevant details are captured
• Supports continuity: allows any member of our team to review the consultation, if required
• Enhances training and audit: helps us identify areas for service improvement
Your choice matters
You will always be informed before a consultation is recorded, and you have the right to opt out at any time. If you prefer not to have your consultation recorded, simply let the clinician or the receptionist know at the start of your appointment, and we will proceed without recording.
We believe these developments will deliver faster, safer and more personalised care. Thank you for entrusting us with your health—we look forward to continuing to serve you with these new tools and with the same dedication you have come to expect from Bethnal Green Health Centre.
